About this event
Step into the rich heritage of the Yoruba people at the Ojude Oba Festival, a grand cultural event held in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, two days after Eid-el-Kabir (Sallah).
This festival, meaning “The King’s Front Yard,” is a time for different age groups, known as regberegbe, to honour the Awujale (King) of Ijebuland with colourful parades, horseback processions, music, and traditional performances. The event showcases the deep-rooted connection between Islam, Yoruba traditions, and the monarchy.
Expect breathtaking displays of royal pageantry, fashion, and equestrian skills, making it one of the most spectacular festivals in southwestern Nigeria.
